Prepared at School and in the CommunityAmerican Red Cross provides trained professionals who will customize a presentation to meet the needs and interests of your school or organization. The variety of presentations are offered help to provide communities with the knowledge, tools and resources to cope with disaster situations that arise.

The American Red Cross teaches individuals, families, and businesses how to prevent, prepare for, mitigate, and respond to disasters through our Community Disaster Education program.  We provide trained professionals who will customize a presentation to meet the needs and interests of your school or organization. The variety of presentations offered help to provide communities with the knowledge, tools and resources to cope with disaster situations that arise.

If you're a teacher, a parent or a student, be sure you are prepared for emergencies and disasters that could happen at your school.  Children can be sensitive to disaster situations and being prepared with the information and skills needed to make situations less stressful is helpful.  We also have tailored programs for schools and youth programs.

Presentations are offered free of charge, but donations are encouraged to cover costs. We distribute at least 1 brochure/flyer per participant.  (Estimated cost: 25 brochures=$5, 25 flyers=$2)
