What’s a Red Cross Club?

Red Cross ClubsRed Cross Clubs are officially recognized clubs on school campuses led by middle, high school and college students who wish to serve their community through service, education, and leadership as volunteers of the American Red Cross. Specifically, clubs participate in activities such as service projects and leadership training.

Red Cross clubs work with the support and guidance of their local Chapter and collaborate with other clubs to plan and execute service projects and fundraising events. In addition, clubs also promote CPR, First Aid, Youth Education Programs, and the Red Cross humanitarian mission.

Each Red Cross club consists of middle or high school student volunteers who work together to create projects that impact the community in a positive way. Many students organize fundraisers for their local Red Cross chapter or for an international disaster or initiative. Many students partner with Blood Services to hold blood drives at their school. Youth volunteers also work on chapter events such as CPR Saturday, First Aid Fun Day, Kid Power and many more!

Take action now and join your school’s Red Cross Club or start one if you’re school doesn’t have one yet! All of our 29 Clubs throughout Santa Clara County were started by youth just like you!
