How to Get Certified PDF Print E-mail

Contact an American Red Cross representative to guide you through the initial certification process followed by an annual ongoing registration.

Workplace

The initial certification is a three step process that requires fulfillment of 22 modules in order for your workplace to become American Red Cross Ready CertifiedTM:

  1. Company assessment and review
  2. On Site Education and Training (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED)/First Aid, Disaster Training)
  3. Implementation and execution of response plans (Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency Response, and Departmental Teams)

Initial certification will be delivered in an estimated 4-6 weeks pending your Red Cross Account Manager’s assessment of your organization’s current emergency readiness status.

Ongoing registration is a normal quarterly event beginning one year after certification that will ensure a constant state of readiness by involving ongoing training, periodic reviews, and assessments of existing plans.
