American Red Cross

Thanks to the incredible support of Silicon Valley corporate and community leaders, the American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter’s Fourth Annual Heroes Celebration - “Everyday People. Real Heroes”, held on May 8, 2010 at the Santa Clara Marriott, was a tremendous success.

The evening was attended by more than 400 Silicon Valley movers and shakers from industry and government.  Together, they donated over $200,000 to the work of the Red Cross right here in our community with sponsorships exceeding our goal, stronger than expected ticket sales and a great response to the Fund the Need portion of the auction.

Guests enjoyed the champagne reception, browsed and bid on terrific silent auction and silent raffle items, were inspired by our Real Heroes, dazzled by the Wearable Art designs and encouraged "to bid high" by our energetic auctioneer for some pretty incredible live auction items. Dozens of volunteers (as usual) worked tirelessly behind the scenes to assure a smooth and effortless flow for our guests throughout the evening.
