Disaster Response Core Courses
Disaster Response Core Courses

Once you have completed the volunteer application and orientation, all disaster volunteers are encouraged to complete the following ten courses. These courses cover all the basic skills required for Disaster Response and can be taken over time. Once you have completed the requirements for performing one Disaster Job (for instance: Shelter Operations and Shelter Simulation to be a qualified Shelter Worker) you can be deployed. Adding to your skill set not only makes you more deployable, but will broaden your understanding of Red Cross disaster response. All Disaster Services classes are presented at no cost to the registrant.

Online registration for disaster training is available for disaster volunteers only through a secure part of the website. If you are already a disaster volunteer, email for registration instructions.
