Aquatics Instrutor Programs

This course will train individuals to teach the American Red Cross Swimming Courses. Future instructors will learn how to use course materials, develop lesson plans, conduct classes, evaluate students, and complete course records.

The newly revised American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program for 2009 is now available! Based on feedback from industry experts, the program has been updated to make it more effective and easier to teach.

The American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter partners with multiple organizations to provide aquatics training throughout our community! These authorized facilities are guaranteed to offer classes that adhere to our guidelines and certification standards. Please contact the facility nearest you for more information on enrolling in courses being hosted by the facility.



Lifeguard Training Instructor Course (HSAQU801) (rev.09)

To train instructor candidates to teach Lifeguard Training (including First Aid), CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Lifeguard Management, AED Essentials, Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer, Blood Borne Pathogen, Community Water Safety and Basic Water Rescue.
