To celebrate this spirit of humanitarianism, American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter and civic and corporate leaders of Silicon Valley will again join together to celebrate those individuals and organizations whose extraordinary acts make them heroes in our community.

This year, we are changing our annual Heroes Event format from a breakfast to a dinner. The evening celebration will kick off at 6:00 p.m. with a champagne/cocktail reception, silent auction where you can mix and mingle with Silicon Valley’s movers and shakers.

The program begins the debut of our Wearable Arts Competition Fashion Show with a lifesaving message that crosses the disciplines of fashion design, still-life art and wearable technology. Festivities will continue with a succulent dinner, compelling Red Cross Heroes Award presentations and culminate with a competitive live auction of one-of-a-kind items.

This fourth annual event raises money for the life-saving programs and emergency services of the American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter.

Wearable Art Competition

American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter is inviting all local artisans, fashion designers and high tech designers to participate in the inaugural Red Cross Wearable Arts Competition highlighting the American Red Cross theme of emergency preparedness prevention and response for a show of art with a life-saving message.

Just as the American Red Cross leads the way in providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prepare for and prevent emergencies throughout the Silicon Valley, we want to partner with the leading innovative designers and technologists in our area to highlight this message of preparedness.

The Red Cross Wearable Arts Competition is designed to showcase the mission of the American Red Cross in Silicon Valley – helping our community become prepared to response in emergencies. Several judges including industry gurus will review submissions by designers, technologist and local artisans based on how well these designs incorporate the Red Cross mission, offer spectacular visual effect and provide high quality and workmanship.

This event will be an amazing opportunity for artisans and designers to display their work and creations to the leaders of Silicon Valley. And through press coverage, website features and other marketing opportunities, these finalists will be highly visible throughout the Bay Area.

Visit our Inspiration Gallery for for images that will inspire you to create innovative designs.
