The American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter relies on volunteers to fulfill our mission of providing care and comfort to those in need. We serve to relieve human suffering by preventing, preparing for, and responding to emergencies.  These tasks could not be accomplished without the help of our volunteers. Volunteers make up more than 95 percent of our workforce. We simply can not fulfill our mission without you.

Red Cross "everyday heroes" come from all walks of life. Young, old, and in-between, everyone has something special to offers including you. Neighbor helping neighbor is the core of what the Red Cross is about.  Every dedicated Red Cross volunteer makes a positive difference. Volunteers support every Red Cross program and service.

• You can offer aid and comfort to those affected by disaster.
• You can help build a safer community by teaching Red Cross lifesaving courses.
• You can provide vital preparedness information at classes and through community outreach.

Whether serving at the frontlines or behind-the-scenes as board members, customer service volunteers or disaster services volunteers - we work together as teams every day to fulfill the vital mission of the American Red Cross.
